California Privacy Rights
(CCPA & CPRA Notice)

If you are a resident of California, the law gives you specific control over your personal data. This page explains what we collect and how you can exercise your rights.

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide consumers residing in California with specific rights regarding their personal information.

Because FillPDFNow is designed to be a private, no-account tool, we hold very little data about you. However, we want to be fully transparent about what happens behind the scenes.

Your 5 Main Rights

1. Right to Know

You have the right to request details about the categories of personal information we have collected about you over the past 12 months.

2. Right to Delete

You can ask us to delete your personal information.
Note: Since we automatically delete uploaded files every few hours, your “personal information” is usually gone before you even ask.

3. Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing

You have the right to tell us not to “sell” or “share” your personal information (see below for what this means).

4. Right to Correct

If we hold inaccurate data about you (like a typo in a support email), you can ask us to fix it.

5. Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not deny you service, charge you different prices, or provide a lower quality of service just because you exercised your privacy rights.

“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Info”

We do not sell your name, email, or documents for money.

However, under California law, allowing advertising partners (like Google) to place cookies on your browser to show you personalized ads can be considered “selling” or “sharing” data.

How to Opt-Out:

  • You can disable third-party cookies in your browser settings.
  • You can install a privacy extension like “Privacy Badger” or “Ghostery.”
  • Because we do not have user accounts, we cannot “flag” your account to opt-out. The control lies in your browser’s cookie settings.

How to Submit a Request

If you wish to exercise your Right to Know, Delete, or Correct, please contact us. Since we do not require accounts, we may need to verify your identity to ensure we are discussing the right data (e.g., verifying you own the email address you are emailing from).
